We’re excited to welcome Jim Marshall to the North Freeze Dry team as our new Plant Quality Manager! With a wealth of experience in quality assurance and certifications, Jim brings expertise, dedication and a love for adventure to his new role.
As Plant Quality Manager, Jim’s primary focus is preparing the plant for SQF Certification. His responsibility includes maintaining rigorous quality standards and ensuring that North Freeze Dry operates smoothly and efficiently while meeting the highest food safety requirements.
Jim describes quality management as “a delicate dance with chaos.” He thrives on the challenge of solving unexpected problems while maintaining order and balance in the plant. For him, this dynamic keeps the work exciting and fulfilling. What motivates him most, however, is the people he works alongside every day.
Jim’s career is filled with impressive accomplishments. He has played a key role in securing SQF and SFSF certifications for plants, as well as harmonizing processes across multi-site organizations. His efforts have resulted in streamlined audits and strengthened organizational compliance, which is a testament to his expertise and strategic thinking.
Outside of work, Jim and his wife lead an adventurous life surrounded by nature and dogs. Aside from having 13 dogs of their own, they operate a dog boarding and training facility where they specialize in training for obedience, hunting and outdoor adventures. Together, Jim and his wife have hiked over 40,000 miles across the country, exploring breathtaking locations from Olympic National Park in Washington to Acadia National Park in Maine.
Jim is a talented wildlife artist and an avid hunter and fisherman. He and his wife have six grandchildren who bring them endless joy.
We are thrilled to have Jim as part of the North Freeze Dry team. His extensive experience in quality management, combined with his passion for leadership, makes him an invaluable addition to our organization.
Please join us in welcoming Jim Marshall to North Freeze Dry!
